Have you ever considered in vitro fertilization? I know it's not as... exciting, I guess, as the natural way of doing things, but if you really want a kid, you should consider it. And even though you want one of your own flesh and blood (which I completely understand), there are tons of newborns just waiting to be adopted out there.

I'm opposed to IVF, actually. :\
And as far as adoption goes, it just wouldn't be the same.

Why are you opposed to in vitro?
And yes, I know adoption isn't the same, but you might not have any choice.

I want a kid of my own eventually. I'm thinking if I can get one of my flesh and blood and then adopt the rest I'll be content

I'm still not sure myself... I mean I like kids but I wouldn't want to raise one alone... considering how I want to be a psychiatrist, I don't think I could... And not raising them alone means getting married, and I'm seriously losing faith (for lack of a better word) in the male population, to be honest...
Like Gabby said, you may not have a choice... I mean, hoping and wishing can only take you so far... Do they really not know why you're infertile? Because that's just ridiculous. There is no "inexplicably", there is only what hasn't been figured out yet. You're either infertile and they need to figure out why, or you're not and your reproductive system just runs a little differently. >.<
