img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/Giraffelover/fionn.jpgI'm drawing Fione with my newly downloaded Photoshop CS5! I want to try and make it as amazzzzing as possible! (Maybe I'll even do full body... eventually >.>) Basically, I wanted to ask you guys if everything is looking all right. Let me know if there's something I can redraw to make it look more proportional or something... It will definitely look different with color added, but I think his eyes look a little crazy... But I think that's mainly do to with there being no color... I REALLY want to make the eyes look nice... and I don't think they're quite there yet lol.

His eyes do look a bit strange, but, after you add color, they'll probably look fine!
But also, I think they may be a bit small.
The folds in his clothing could also use some work. Try to make them more fluid, and not so rigid. Otherwise, you get wrinkles, not folds.
But I LOVE how it's turning out. And I'm super jealous you have CS5...I want it sooo bad. D:

Yeah, I'm not feelin' the eyes...
DEY ARE SO HARD!
And can you give me a good reference for the clothing folds? I think I know what you mean, but I'm not sure. It might just be because I'm lacking in skillz lol...
Do you mean the folds as a whole? Or just the folds in the cloak around his neck?
But, yes. I'll work on the clothes and the eyes... They're small because I was trying to make them look all smiley-squinty. :/

img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/Giraffelover/fionnyy.jpgOkkkkk. So, I got bored and did a little... rushed coloring >.< just to see what it might look like colored. I made the eyes a tad bigger... though I effed them up by making the lashes too this... Anyway, I think they look much better colored, but I'm still not satisfied. And his skin is so pale, so you can't tell the normal skin from the highlight... it makes me sad D; But I think the hair will end up nicely... it will certainly be better when I actually take time to make it look good lol. And... does it look like he's wearing lipstick? I want him to have... lips are the teeth lol, but it keeps looking like lipstick... :/ I dunno, needs more work... especially since I'm not even done with the lineart LMAO! But it's still nice to see it fake colored.

I decided to just scrap the old one and start over. It was just making me mad lol. Here's a quuuuiiiicckkk sketch it did on the computer. I think this one will be better for sure. img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/Giraffelover/antrfio.jpgI don't know if I'm giving up on the first one... maybe I'll reattempt it later... I would still love suggestions! I tried to make the folds flow a bit more on this one. D;

I'm feeling this one muuuuuuch more!
The folds are looking quite good. Good flow and direction.
Can't wait to see it worked out a bit more.

Sweet! I'll keep working on this one in the meantime then.
I'll post the finished lineart once I make it that far.

Ah, yes, clothing folds are a pain, aren't they? They frustrate me to the point that during class, sometimes I just stare at other people to examine their clothing and where and how it wrinkles and folds.

Yeah, clothing folds SUCK!
And yet are simultaneously amazing...
But, I know what you mean. I tucked my shirt in my pants and then pulled it out part way to see how the baggy effect would look.

Oh, I want to show you some of my projects from my costume design class... I think your would particularly love the ones I made for Taming of the Shrew...
Lots of clothing folds in those renderings...

Well, alrighty. Honestly, the drawings aren't that good, but I LOVE the concept! <3 For the project we had to emulate the style of an artist when designing our costumes for Taming of the Shrew. Mine was Jean Dominique Ingres. I'm sure you know him, but he did a lot of portraits of Royalty... Well I didn't go with that lol. I went off his drawings of the greek/roman gods and goddesses. He did a lot of partial nudity, and that's where my inspiration came from. Then I started dabbling into empire clothing and such... I really like how it turned out. No one in my class really got it though, which made me sad... Well, they liked it, but I can't say they took it very seriously :/ Kate: img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/Giraffelover/scan0066.jpgBianca: img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/Giraffelover/scan0068.jpgBaptista: img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/Giraffelover/scan0067.jpgLucentio: img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/Giraffelover/scan0069.jpgPetruchio: img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/Giraffelover/scan0071.jpgMy favorite is Lucentio. <3 x) Oh, and yes, I decided to make Baptista a woman.
