So everyone who has seen it... is it worth all the hype? Personally although I think it was funny, ridiculous, and quotable, but I wouldn't call it a good movie. Also, so much Indian rage (no it is not an oxymoron) at Matthew Patel. I could rant about that part for hours. The only good part was that the guy called him a pirate, effectively making their battle Pirates versus Ninjas. And since Ninjas won, I see no problem with this. Basically, this movie had maximum ridiculosity, yet somehow managed to defeat awkwardness.

HAHA.
I want to go see this movie, but I probably won't make time to go see it! And then it'll be like... at least a year before I can. Still, it looks funny... though maybe it isn't based on Turk's review and the fact that CO fell asleep. xD

I went to the midnight showing on thursday. Wednesday morning I was up at 5 for work, and same with thursday morning, but I got about 2hrs of sleep wednesday night so by the time the end of Scott Pilgrim rolled around I had been sitting still for far too long and my body just shut down for about the last 5-10 minutes of the movie. Then I was dead XD

It was an interesting movie stylistically, like how it was directed. Different from anything I've seen. For the geeky at heart, it's full of references to video games and such, so that was fun. The reason why I wouldn't call it a good movie is that it's very predictable, and the storyline was cliche (although the idea of a league of evil exes is original). But then, when it comes to movies, for me it's storyline first, directing/style/etc second. Also, when you see the first ex, you'll understand why he makes me rage. As for the ending... Ramona said he was better off with Knives, and walked off. At which point Knives did a cheesy "go after her, you love her" mini-speech thing and so he goes after her and Ramona and Scott walk off, the end.

You know I find it funny that this kid goes around and kills 7 people and no one even thinks twice about it XD

Haha well it seems the universe is veeeery different from ours lol xD Like apparently being good at a ninja version of DDR makes you good at fighting in real life...
Supposedly, the graphic novel shows flashbacks of Scott similarly defeating others in the past, so it seems that fighting and defeating people (who then turn into coins) is pretty commonplace in their world.
