Btw, and no offense or anything, but your joke is sickening. You aren't the first person who said that. ^.^" And seeing as you're such a huge Michael Jackson fan, I can't blame you for feeling that way. Sorry if it made you angry in any way.

I can understand this conversation. I never was into Micheal Jackson's music, but once he died I became curious and borrowed the greatest hits CD from my friend lol. I did not go crazy for him though.
I still haven't listened to most of it xD
He does have some good music though! I, like most everyone else, love thriller.

Lenne: You don't think it's borderline awful? It's not even because it's making fun of him. Just switch some things around and see how it sounds. :\ Sure, being a big MJ fan plays a part in my distaste, but regardless... it's still extreme. @del: No one will ever understand lol. I have come to accept this.

Yes, the devotion of true fangirl/boy is the purest form of love that no can truly understand.

I...still don't think it's so horrible, even switching it around. I've laughed at jokes about the Beatles which went something like "God killed John Lennon to smite Yoko Ono," and other jokes...and I'm an absolute fangirl over anything Beatles related. (I even have a crush on Ringo Starr, and he's, like, 60. -.-") And I personally wouldn't be horrified if people made jokes like that at my funeral; then again, I would be dead, so it'd be hard for me to add any input to the situation anyway.
I suppose my way of thinking--and possibly coping--is a bit different than most, though...when my nana died, I was heartbroken...in some ways, I still haven't completely gotten over it...yet at her funeral, I made a joke about how we wouldn't have to spend thousands keeping her alive at the hospital anymore, and my entire family laughed. My way of dealing with even the most tragic situation is to find some reason to laugh about it. I don't know...it's hard for me to explain...
Once again, I'm sorry if I offended you in any way.

@del: Haha that's not exactly what I mean. Lenne: You didn't offend me. And I understand making jokes to cope, because I do the same thing. It's hard to explain. I shouldn't have even bothered trying.
