His cloak billows behind him in the wind. Shutters with peeling paint rattle and tumbleweed tumble on by. It was abundantly clear that this was a textbook example of a ghost town. Seemed like nobody had lived here in years. But the stranger wasn't much too concerned with details. He walks down the dusty street toward the rundown old shack that passed for a saloon in this town. He heads inside, goes around behind the empty bar, and pours himself a drink.
(Now imagine all that in the voice of Rucks from Bastion. Awww yeah, now there's a fella with character)
Anyway, an errant message raced across the world through the digital maze of routers and satellite signals to find its way into my inbox, and the call summoned me thence, so here am I.
College has been tough, real tough. So tough that I didn't really have much time for any of my regular enjoyable activities, least of all RPing. But there's been a lull in the workload, and I feel the need to flex some creative muscle. So if any good fellas are stilling poking around this dusty old town, we should get to swingin' sometime.

HEY BOY. IT'S YOU.
Glad to see you stop by! My friends and I recently decided to start up an RP on here about vampires and werewolves for our shameless need to indulge whatever desires we see fit. You're welcome to join. It's mainly character driven, so it's just about interacting and having some casual, relaxed fun. No big plot planned. Depending on who shows up around here, we'll seeeee if we want to start other things.
I also opened a sub forum in the Roleplaying section for 1 on 1 RPs, so if you and another person wanted to do something with just the two of you, that'd be just fine too!
But yeah, welcome home! ;D
College is tough work. I just graduated a couple months ago myself, and I nearly went bonkers during my senior year haha.

Graduated? Del, you still in California, though? Glad this place is seeing some activity again. I've missed it.

Yeah, sadly my major involves a metric shit-ton of coursework, so I have to take an extra quarter. I'll be graduating in December. But once I do, hopefully I'll have a lot more time to do stuff like this.

What is your major? I almost had to take an extra year to add legal studies last minute, but they're letting me double up. Fast track to unemployment, woo!

I am still in California! Starving and poor and working shitty jobs while pretending I'm an actor. I'm still in the bay area, bby. And yeah, I studied abroad my junior year, so my senior year I basically did two years at once and my brain almost melted haha. And my university wasn't even that great. Anyway, it's good to see that both of you are getting yo' edumacationz taken care of! At least if you're poor and jobless after college, you'll be smart!

I'm a Computer Science major. On top of that, in order to pay for college I signed my soul away to the Army. So I'm undergoing army officer training right now on top of all my classes, and after graduation its off to officer school for me.

Yay Del del! Er, aside from the shitty jobs. :/ And hah, yeah but unfortunately I'm looking into criminal and corrections psychology, which is WAY underfunded and basically just really shitty to work in because everyone believes people in jail and prison are all worthless scum who will rape you to death. -.- Oh damn, that's intense. How long do you have to stick with the army? My brother's actually going to UCLA now, in materials engineering. I'm trying to convince him not to join any frats even though he's convinced he found "the nerd frat" and that they don't haze. >.<

Well, after graduating, I'm obligated to... I believe 6 years of service in the National Guard, which isn't so bad because that's just like one weekend a month with two week-long training things a year. After that I can choose to stay or just retire.

Oh, that's not bad. I know a couple of people who went to the Navy to pay for college, and had to do 2 years in the Navy straight. Living on a boat and all... that would drive me crazy. :/

And man Dan that is rough... 6 years? I would die haha.
And Turk, they're not so miserable of jobs, I just don't make a lot of money and have a lot of bills. I'm like an adult now or something...

Adulthood is terrifying. I have two friends who are having babies and another two who are getting married, all recent graduates with jobs.
Meanwhile I'm sitting here surfing reddit with a pound of taffy in my lap.
