NEED TO SEE THIS ANIME. SO, SOOOOO BADLY.
There's actually a lot of anime that I've heard of and really like, but have never actually seen. After all, videogames and laziness take up a majority of my life! lol
So, where does anime fit in? Sadly, it kind of has to compete with videogames, and videogames tend to win. Every time.
I haven't even finished RomeoxJuliet. Shucks. And, as a result of this games vs. anime stuff, I read a lot more manga...

I've seen the first 5 episodes. Went to Fanime this past weekend (which was AWESOME) and there were a number of people cosplaying as Celty and various other characters. They were showing the first 20 or so in 5-episode bursts but I ended up not going... too early in the morning >.<

What is it about? It's about awesome, that's what. The story kinda focuses around Ryuugamine Mikado, who is just a "normal" high school student who wants some excitement in his life, so he transfers schools from the countryside into the heart of Tokyo, Ikebukuro, where weird shit goes down on a daily basis. There's Celty, who is an Irish fairy known as dullahan, the headless rider, who rides around town on a motorcycle black as night. There's Simon, a black Russian guy who works in a sushi restaurant. There's Shizuo, the debt collector with superhuman strength (like pull stop signs out of the ground and throw them at you strength). There's Orihara Izaya, the underground information broker. And that's just an intro to the more interesting characters without giving away spoilers. Go watch it for yourself.

There were a shitton of Shizuos at Fanime. All holding stop signs, no parking signs, something to that effect. And Celtys, there were a lot of Celtys. But yes, I looove it so far

Yes I did. My first time going actually. It was fuuun. Man, you're gonna miss Fanime for the next four years cuz of school, aren't ya? That sucks. And you might as well order them online... Fanime stuff is NOT cheap. I got a Batarang Necklace for $15. Then my brother found it online for $7. -.-

Cheap maybe, but infinitely more hassle. Since I need prescription lenses, I need to go through all this crap and fill out a bunch of shit. At Fanime I could just walk up to the booth, tell them what color I wanted and what strength I needed and I would be good to go.

Ahh fair enough lol. Also I just found out today that the place online is no longer selling them, they just forgot to take that down. Sucks for my brother's friend who wanted one, then. xD
