No no, Ryan was the one kidnapping girls. Fontaine quietly snuck them from the orphanage where no one would motive or care. Ryan basically had his men go knock on peoples doors and go "Scuse me, I'll be havin that little girl now. kthxbye!" XD
And he only did that because the slugs wouldn't yeild enough ADAM and if was found that they would bond with the little girls so well. Little Sisters were kinda a last effort. Fontaine was just a normal business man

>.< Right. Umm well one of them took her from the orphanage up top anyway. I should probably read the stuff from those links you posted in the first post...
Well Gabby, you have the basic idea... a woman whose daughter was stolen and turned into a Little Sister... but finding out how she got to Rapture in the first place, if she has a husband or not, how they react to their daughter being stolen... Seems most people in Rapture will be somewhere between crazy and genius, otherwise they're just tagging along with someone like a parent or spouse who falls between crazy and genius. So once you figure out why they're there, the rest just kinda falls into place.

REMEMBER, CRAZY AND GENIUS ARE VERY NEARLY THE SAME THING! UWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
But really, I actually have a more fleshed-out character concept for the possible Victorian RP, and this is like, on the wayside. ;_;

If you made a venn diagram of crazy and genius, it would look like a cheerio Alright, not quite, but there is a lot of overlap. Which is why most people are in the middle. Like, from what I know, Albert Einstein wasn't crazy. Similarly, Hannibal Lecter wasn't... alright, yes he was, bad example. Hmm, crazy people who weren't genius... Scarecrow? Unabomber? No... Night Stalker? That one guy whose name I forgot who was walking down the street with a gun and shot a couple just because? Man, you'd think I'd be better at this...

I doubt the Joker was a genius.

Uh the Joker was fairly smart actually. Whether he is a genius or not is one thing, but he was smart.

Clever, yes. I guess it depends on your definition of genius. But we never learn of his past life to determine whether or not he was an actual genius.
And Einstein may have not been crazy, but he might have been autistic. People are fairly convinced of that, actually. Geniuses may not be "crazy," but they usually have something along with their smarts to level it out.

Eh, I might not go with Mephis or Gene this time around, since I'm really having issues spewing out a good premise for either. I mean, Mephis *should* be easy, but my heart's not in it right now...
I'll see what I can do now, I'm actually interested in making a character that *sounds* crazy, but isn't. Eh, I want to get away from the sciences for now, which is what my deal is. Hmmmn... I'll see what everyone else ends up with, then I'll see~
I mean, I don't want to be doing research every 3 posts or so for a character, you see... OTZ

Oh... great idea for my guy...
This is a guy that, if you knew who he was when playing through the game, you would want to beat with a wrench. Why? He's the guy who created the sentry drones, cameras, and turrets. That's right, Imma gonna make the guy in charge of Rapture's automated security!!!

Eh, I might not go with Mephis or Gene this time around, Could always go with both if you wanted ;) Yooooooou!!! >:( *shakes fist in anger* See this is great, exactly what I had in mind. Our characters being the behind the scenes characters that do something that influence the story aspects in the game. Love it XD

Name: Priscilla Burton, but she goes by Elle for unknown reasons Age: 30 Height: 5'5" Country of Origin: USA Occupation: Artist
History: Elle was not only an artist, but also a single mother, albeit not a very good one. She neglected her daughter in favor of her art, which was realistic and grotesque, contrary to the simple beauty of the popular art of the time. Because of all of this, she was declared unfit to be a parent and her daughter was taken away and sent to an orphanage. Against her knowledge, her daughter was later adopted by Andrew Ryan and turned into a Little Sister.
After her daughter was taken away, Elle's art became darker and more grotesque, ranging from brutal and angry to just plain depressed. Fewer and fewer people bought her work and there was a lot of gossip as to what the mysterious substances in her art were. Andrew Ryan, who saw her as simply ahead of her time, told her about Rapture and promised that people there would appreciate her genius and buy her work.
Personality: Elle is a crazed artist, to put it simply. Her style of art is realistic and grotesque. Although her media ranged from photography to drawings, she is known for her paintings, which often contained substances that she had concocted, which weren't paint or anything similar, but dried on the canvas in interesting shades, patterns, and textures. Many people considered her style taboo, especially considering how radically different it was from the abstract art of the time.
Few people can see past her obsession for her art, but those who do may notice little quirks she has. For example, when Elle comes across a little girl (not a Little Sister) in the city, she will run up to said girl and turn her around to get a good look at her face, saying "Katie, is that you? Katie, come to mommy!" or something similar. Elle still holds hope that she will find her daughter someday, even though it hasn't sunk in that the chances of her daughter being in Rapture are slim. She also doesn't pay attention to the Little Sisters and doesn't think any of them could possibly be her little girl, so she hasn't and will never see Katie the Little Sister.
Aside from her art and her quirks, Elle is a very creative woman. She's kind and, although most wouldn't believe this by looking at her, she'd never hurt a fly. Unless, of course, she goes into one of her crazy fits or is doing something "in the name of art". In this case, she can become a bit violent, but she's no serial killer. She is intelligent, but this is overshadowed by her behavior. Although she does run around looking for her daughter, she is not good with kids and is not very nurturing. There are times when she forgets to eat, much less feed someone else. She is highly independent, or at least she thinks she is. She can't really take care of herself properly. Also, her house is a total mess, but she claims to know where everything is, even though she often doesn't. Reasons for going to Rapture: She was told that people would appreciate her work rather than considering it taboo.
Now that I think of it, Elle is practically Lana's polar opposite...
